Serendipity is a short and sweet canyon with multiple abseils. Participants will need to be comfortable with abseiling \, cold swims\, and a reasonable walk in and out.\n\nMore info about the c anyon here: https://ozultimate.com/canyoning/track_notes/why_dont_we_do_it _in_the_road.htm\n\n \;\n\n Canyoning gear provided at Boree Log even t (If you have personal gear it is helpful to bring this along):\n\n Harn ess*\n Helmet*\n 3x locking carabiner*\n 1x Figure 8*\n 1x 120cm safet y sling*\n Drybag*\n Wetsuit*\n\n\n Canyoning gear not provided:\n\n E mergency blanket (You must carry one on every club canyoning trip. You mus t buy one from the gear cupboard for $5 cash or most outdoor stores)\n Ba ckpack that can fit ALL your gear in (30L - 40L)\, that can get wet\, and can be treated rough.\n\n\n\n\n Clothing:\n\n Enclosed shoes with good g rip\n Wool socks\n Boardshorts to wear on top of wetsuit (compulsory to protect the club wetsuits)\n Thermals to wear under your wetsuit (optiona l\, but helpful)\n NO COTTON!\n\n\n Food:\n\n 1.5L of water in bottles. \n Substantial lunch (pack it in a waterproof container\, and make sure i t’s vaguely crush-proof)\n Snacks (chocolate or something nice to share !)\n\n\n Miscellaneous:\n\n Any personal medicine (asthma puffer\, Epipe n etc)\n A pair of thongs/flipflops to leave in the car (since your shoes will get wet)\n Phone or camera for photos (optional\, and only if you ’re prepared for it to get wet if your drybag leaks! Write down your abseiling / outdoor experience in the comme nt when signing up\, your favourite canyoning snack (so we know you’ve r ead this far)\, whether you have a car\, and how many spots you have.\n\nY ou must be approved to the main Boree Log event to attend these trips. If you get rejected then you can sign up for another trip\, this just makes i t easier for volunteer trip leaders.
