SUMMARY:[FULL] SATURDAY BL - POINT PERPENDICULAR Trad/Top rope Climbing
DESCRIPTION:Hey folks!\n\nPat and myself (Crispy) will be heading to Point 
 Perpendicular on Saturday 14 October (This is a Boree Log trip)\n\nThis is
  a friendly trad climbing trip (trad/traditional climbing involves carryi
 ng and placing protection - nuts\, hexes\, camming devices and so on - rat
 her than clipping into bolts).\n\nPoint Perpendicular is a fantastic place
  to climb with beautiful ocean views. This is a great opportunity to learn
  more about trad gear and techniques or to get more comfortable with ancho
 rs\, abseiling and top belaying in a stunning setting with some great comp
 any.\n\nSign ups can be found below.\n\nMAKE SURE YOU READ ALL THE INFORMA

  Perp is ~1.5 hour drive away from Bendeela Campground where we will be st
 aying for Boree Log\, we will organise car pooling so please tell us in th
 e sign up comments if you have a car and how many people you can take.\n\n
 We will return to the campground after the trip to have dinner and the nau
 tical nonsense party.\n\nThis trip is for Boree Log participants only\, es
 sential gear for the activities such as harnesses\, helmets\, belay device
 s will be provided. Please bring any of your own gear if you have it.\n\nW
 hat YOU need to bring:\n\n 	Climbing shoes\n 	Chalk (optional)\n 	Food/sna
 cks for the day\n 	At least 2L water\n 	Warm jacket (sea breeze can be str
 ong and very chilly)\n 	Sunscreen\n 	Helmet*\n 	Harness*\n 	Belay device (
 ideally with the option to belay in guide mode) and locking carabiner *\n 
 	Safety sling and locking carabiner*\n 	Prusik and locking carabiner*\n 	B
 ag to carry everything\n\nItems with (*) can be provided to you from the c

 stralian Citizens - This trip falls on the day of the 2023 Australian Indi
 genous Voice Referendum. If you are an Australian citizen you are required
  to vote so you must have done this beforehand! WE WILL NOT BE TAKING PEOP
 LE TO FIND VOTING CENTRES!\n\nYou need to be approved for the main Boree L
 og event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. 
 If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip\, this just make
 s it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weathe
 r is unpredictable\, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.\n\n
