SUMMARY:SATURDAY BL - MT BOYCE Trad Climbing
DESCRIPTION:Hey folks!\n\nPat and myself (Crispy) will be heading to Mt. Bo
 yce on Saturday 12 October (This is a Boree Log trip)\n\nThis is a beginne
 r/intermediate trad climbing trip (trad/traditional climbing involves carr
 ying and placing protection - nuts\, hexes\, camming devices and so on - r
 ather than clipping into bolts).\n\nMt. Boyce is a fantastic crag in the B
 lue Mountains and home to some cracking trad routes. This is a great oppor
 tunity to learn more about trad gear and techniques in a beautiful locatio
 n with some awesome company.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSign ups and more info can be f
 ound below.\n\nMAKE SURE YOU READ ALL THE INFORMATION FIRST.\n\nMore info 
 about the location can be found here on theCrag.\n\nMeet at the gear trail
 er at Cathedral of Ferns campground at 8:00am. It is a short drive to the 
 crag - We will organise car pooling so please tell us in the sign up comme
 nts if you have a car and how many people you can take.\n\nWe will return 
 to the campground after the trip to have dinner and the Hollywood party!\n
 \nThis trip is for Boree Log participants only\, essential gear for the ac
 tivities such as harnesses\, helmets\, belay devices will be provided. Ple
 ase bring any of your own gear if you have it.\n\nWhat YOU need to bring:\
 n\n 	Climbing shoes\n 	Chalk\n 	Food/snacks for the day\n 	At least 2L wat
 er\n 	Sunscreen\n 	Helmet*\n 	Harness*\n 	Belay device such as an ATC*\n 	
 Safety sling and locking carabiner*\n 	Bag to carry everything\n 	Appropri
 ate clothing for the weather\n\nItems with (*) can be provided to you from
  the club on Saturday morning.\n\nYou need to be approved for the main Bor
 ee Log event to attend these trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per d
 ay. If you get rejected you can then sign up for another trip\, this just 
 makes it easier for volunteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the we
 ather is unpredictable\, trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly.

 d anything else you think is relevant\, e.g. abseiling)\, anything you're 
 particularly keen on learning\, whether you have a car and how many people
