SUMMARY:SATURDAY BL - COSMIC COUNTY Trad Climbing
DESCRIPTION:You need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend 
 these trips. Please signup for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected 
 you can then sign up for another trip\, this justmakes it easier for volun
 teer trip leaders.\n\nOn the SATURDAY of Boree Log myself (Tad)\, Francois
  and Zara will be leading a climbing trip to Cosmic County during the Satu
 rday of Boree Log. This is a faraway land of untold cracks\, all flavours 
 of jam and gripping sandstone. For anyone new to outdoor climbing\, trad c
 limbing involves placing your own gear in the rock for protection\, so the
 re are no permanent fixed bolts in the rock.\n\nNo climbing experience is 
 required as we'll set up the climbs for you to second or top rope. There a
 re plenty of climbs at a range of grades. If you are experienced and feeli
 ng confident\, you may get a chance to tie into the sharp end of the rope 
 and lead climb. We are happy to teach you the fundamentals of trad climbin
 g. We will bring along trad racks\, ropes and other club gear but bring yo
 ur own if you have any.\n\nWe will meet up at 8:00am on Saturday morning a
 t the Boree Log campground near the trailer or you can arrange to meet at 
 the parking area in Clarence. Any gear that you require will be collected 
 together on Saturday morning from the trailer.\n\n 	Gear: harness\, helmet
 \, climbing shoes\, ATC + carabiner (if you have your own make sure you br
 ing it!!!)\, climbing tape or crack gloves to protect your hands (not esse
 ntial).\n 	What to bring: sunscreen\, 2L water (minimum!)\, food for the d
 ay\, sporty clothes\, a warm jacket\, a day backpack to fit all your stuff
  inside\, comfortable shoes to hike in\, snacks to share\, etc.\n 	Meeting
  point: 8:00am at Boree Log Trailer (Cathedral of Ferns Campground\, Mt W
 ilson).\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIn the comments box\, please tell us about your prev
