SUMMARY:Remote Area First Aid | 26th - 28th May
DESCRIPTION:When Wilderness First Aid Australia (Wilderness First Aid Aust.
  an RTO)  will be teaching the course Friday  26th – Sunday 28th May 2
 023 for UNSWOC members. A night scenario will take place during the course
 .It will be an intense 3 days but rewarding and equip you with a nationall
 y recognized qualification for your back country adventures.\n\nWhere: Out
 door Education Facility in Mt Victoria  (2hrs south of Sydney)\n\nWhat ki
 nd of accommodation?: Private house/dormitory style shared kitchen\, BBQ f
 acilities and toilets. If you wish to take a room and bed over camping ple
 ase email Brendan.\n\nWhat to bring: Outdoors clothes\, a set of clothes t
 o get dirty (i.e fake blood)\, camping equipment all meals and food to be 
 self catered.\n\nTransport: Train from central to Mt Victoria else to be c
 ar-pooled by private vehicle.\n\nCost: For trip leaders (and future trip l
 eaders) this will be subsidized (TL will pay a maximum deposit of of appro
 x $300 (TBC) for Accommodation (camping) &amp\; Training Hire assuming you
  lead 5 trips in the coming year. This may be reduced depending on funding
 ). Non trip leaders will not received a subsidized place (Please contact B
 rendan for price) However\, TLIT will or those keenly interested in partic
 ipating in trip leading training 2023 and be reimbursed after 5 trips lead
 ). Non trip leaders may be offered a full fee spot (approx $600)\n\nIf you
  are experiencing financial  difficulty\, please let Brendan know and arr
 angement can be made.\n\nFunding thankyou UNSWOC will fund the training f
 or active trip leaders as a thank you for their hard work\n\nPreexisting 
 requirement   Prework is essential (there will be an online handbook sent
  out). There are not prior first aid qualifications needed to start or sig
 n up for this course.\n\nQualifications Upon completion you will have from
  the RTO:\n\nSign ups: 12 places available (wait list as well) so signups 
 are essential. Please comment below. Priority will be given to TLIT and Tr
 ip leaders without RAFA or expiring. Those previously on the cancelled Dec
