DESCRIPTION:Yelalo!\n\nOn Anzac Day weekend I will be running a beginner wh
 itewater trip with Niels Bardoel. This trip will be a prerequisite - if yo
 u are interested in learning to Whitewater kayak\, you must come on this t
 rip.\n\nWe'll head to Malabar beach rain hail or shine (but not lightning)
  and go for a paddle in the whitewater boats. These kayaks are a lot more 
 difficult to paddle straight than other kayaks and so a little warm up and
  practice will be necessary before the actual trip.\n\nI think it will als
 o be fun for anyone to come along and vibe on the beach\, so all people ar
 e welcome to join and paddle if you so please. Please note in the comment 
 box whether you are interested in the beginner WW trip later in April.\n\n
 What's the plan\, Stan?\n\n10am: Everyone with a car with roofracks will m
 eet at the big gear shed to pick up boats\, paddles and PFDs for the day\n
 \n11am: Everyone will meet at Malabar to help unload boats and get in the 
 water\n\n11:30am: We'll go for the first paddle\, spend some time on the w
 ater getting used to the boats\, practice bailing from the boat when upsid
 e down\, and doing some swim practice for the river\n\nWhat to bring\n\nIt
 's a beach day with paddling. Bring your cossies and something comfy for p
 addling. I recommend active wear\, a hat and sunnies\, and shorts which ca
 n get wet. For anyone paddling: absolutely no cotton\n\nBring some lunch a
 nd water too\, a towel\, and dry clothes for afterwards as well as sunscre
 en.\n\nIn the comment box\, please tell me if you have roofracks on your c
 ar. If you don't have a car\, please tell me your favourite brand of pen. 
 Please also tell me your kayaking experience and whether you are coming al
 ong to try kayaking for the April trip\, or just for the beach day (you'll
  still be allowed to kayak)
