We want to get to know you better so we will be runni ng a climbing event at Sydney Indoor Climbing Gym in St Peter's at 6pm\, W ednesday March 18th. This is a great climbing gym with bouldering and rope climbing. Whether you've never touched a climbing hold before or you're a pro\, this event is open to everyone! Sign up for good times and great vi bes!\n\n \;\nWho Can Come Along?\nAll UNSW students! (Yes\, even if yo u're not a member yet). Arc Sport is kindly funding this event to help enc ourage UNSW students to give climbing a go and get involved in the club. I f you are not a UNSW student\, feel free to come join in but you will need to pay the regular entry fee.\n\nThis event is especially for the new mem bers who have just started uni\, joined the club this year\, or who have h eard about UNSWOC and might be looking to join soon. You'll be paying a re duced entry fee of $5!!! Harnesses will be included. The gym closes at 10p m\, so if you would still like to come but might be running a little late\ , let us know in the comment below.\n\nTo all our lovely club members who' ve been around for longer\, we would love for you to come along too. As th e event is on a Wednesday\, you'll have the entry discount of $14.50 that you can pay directly to the gym on the day so you won't need to apply to t his event page\, you can just show up. So please join for a great social e vent!\n\n\n\nSo what will you be doing exactly?\nClimbing!! You'll be taug ht the basics of the sport and how to safely climb and belay\, then you'll be ready to hop on the wall! You'll also interact with other club members both new and old. If you have any questions about the club\, there will b e some exec floating around who would love to help you out. If you already have bucket loads of experience\, there may be a chance to learn some lea d climbing :)\n\nA harness will be provided and you have the option of ren ting shoes for $5. We will start off the session with an induction on how to climb and belay safely. The gym also has a bouldering area if that's mo re your cup of tea! The gym will require you to pass the belay induction\, and if you want to boulder they will show you a short video and teach you how to fall safely.\n\n\n\nSounds great!
