SUMMARY:Macquarie Pass Canyon
DESCRIPTION:\n\nHi there! Nicola and I (Alie) will be running a trip down M
 acquarie Pass Canyon this weekend. Macquarie Pass is a warm(ish) wide open
 \, pretty canyon with some mega abseils! It will be a longish day\, but th
 ankfully we end at the car\, yay!\n\nThis trip is open to a range of abili
 ties. The more canyoning experience you have\, the more likely you are to 
 get accepted\, but we have 2 spots for totals newbs\, so don't stress!\n\n
 We will be meeting at UNSW (gear cupboard) at 7am Sunday morning and car p
 ooling down to Albion Park\, where we will stop for a quick breakfast nibb
 le and coffee. From there we will do a quick car shuttle and start the bus
 hbash in! We should be done around dinner time\, and will drive back to Sy
 dney from there.\n\nWhat to bring:\n\n 	Harness *\n 	Helmet *\n 	Descender
  of choice *\n 	2 locking biners *\n 	Prussik and biner (ONLY if you know 
 how to self rescue) *\n 	Safety sling *\n 	Wetsuit *\n 	Thermals\n 	Emerge
 ncy blanket (can be purchased for $5 from the gear cupboard)\n 	Sunscreen\
 n 	First aid kit (if you have one)\n 	Lunch\n 	Snacks\n 	2L of water minim
 um\n 	Dry clothes\n 	Thermals\n 	Drybag\n 	Backpack (25-40L)\n 	Enclosed s
 hoes for canyoning\n 	Dry shoes (sandals/thongs are great)\n 	Headtorch + 
 spare batteries\n 	Medications/epipens if you need them!\n\n*you can get f
 rom the gear cupboard on gear night if you don't have it\n\nPlease let us 
 know your favourite type of chocolate\, and previous canyoning/abseiling e
 xperience if you wish to be approved :)\n\nYOU MUST BE A COMPETENT SWIMMER
