SUMMARY:Glen Davis Canyoning
DESCRIPTION:Izzy and I are heading to Glen Davis for canyoning this Sunday.
  We are aiming to do Coin Slot followed by Wowsers (time permitting). Thes
 e are good quality canyons\, relatively dry\, and have many abseils.\n\nTh
 is is an advanced level canyoning trip. You need to supply all your own ge
 ar (or borrow from the club)\, and be self sufficient at abseiling. For me
 \, 'self sufficient' means you are capable of abseiling without supervisio
 n\, without a belay\, and relatively quickly (takes less than 5 minutes to
  clip in\, do your checks\, and get to the bottom of a 30m abseil). We wil
 l be using a combination of single\, double and twin rope riggings. The en
 try path involves easy rock climbing (about grade 10).\n\nTrip cap is 3 pe
 ople if there is one car\, or 6 people if there are two cars. Let me know 
 if you are able to drive.\n\nSince we are trying to fit 2 canyons into a d
 ay\, we will be staying at Coorongooba Campground (free camping) on Saturd
 ay night\, and starting early (leave campsite at dawn on Sunday).\n\nSince
  these canyons are relatively dry\, thermals and a jacket (raincoat\, wind
 stopper\, softshell\, etc) should be enough to keep you warm. If someone i
 s able to borrow ropes from the locker\, that would be great (I can’t ma
 ke gear nights).\n\nLet me know if you have any questions!
