SUMMARY:Caving trip to Timor
DESCRIPTION:Hello All!\n\nIn typical Cindy and Zee fashion\, our poor plann
ing may benefit those of you of a similar inclination. We'll be running a
caving trip over up at Timor Caves over the long weekend. We'll be leaving
on the Friday night (it's about a 5 hour drive north of Sydney)\, and the
n most likely bush camping\, before driving back on Monday afternoon. (The
re may be a slight possibility that we'll be allowed to stay in a shearer'
s hut).\n\nThere will be no reception\, and there are no amenities at the
bush camping site (no long drops). You will need to BYO water for the enti
re weekend. There is a small creek crossing over a concrete causeway - whe
ther the crossing will be wet will be dependent on the weather (forecast i
s looking pretty dry at the moment). You don't need a 4WD.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nY
ou will need the following for camping:\n\n Tent*\n Sleeping bag*\n Sle
 eping mat*\n Cooking utensils + stove*\n Clothes\, toiletries etc\n Toi
let paper + trowel / shovel if you have one\n Breakfast for Saturday\, Su
nday\, Monday\n Dinner for Saturday night\, Sunday night\n Hand sanitise
r\n Enough water for the weekend\n clean shoes to wear when not caving\n
\n&nbsp\;\n\nYou will need the following for caving:\n\n Helmet*\n At le
ast 2 sources of lights + enough batteries / powerbank to last the entire
weekend.\n Clothes to cave in\n\n overalls preferred*\n (can be borrowe
d from club)\n Otherwise top &amp\; bottoms that can get dirty - tradie s
hirts &amp\; pants work pretty well and they can often be found at op shop
 s eg Salvos\, Savers)\n\n\n Thermal tops &amp\; bottoms\n Gardening glov
es - you can get these from Bunnings / kmart\n Shoes that can get dirty a
nd have good grip (sneakers are okay)\n Personal meds\n Kneepads (your k
nees will appreciate you) - you can get these from Bunnings\n Small backp
ack to drag around inside the cave\n Small water bottle for caving ( &lt\
;750ml)\n Empty bottle to use as a pee bottle (i would recommend a powera
 de / gatorade bottle over a nalgene!).\n\n 600ml or 750ml is a good size\
 , unless you've got a very small bladder.\n For the ladies\, I definitely
recommend the powerade / gatorade bottles as they have a wide mouth\, as
well as a small funnel\n\n\n Small lunch to eat in the cave on Sat / Sun.
We will probably have a lunch outside on Monday before heading home\n\n*T
hese items can be borrowed from the gear cupboard. You may need to contact
the gear officers directly to arrange a collection time as the semester h
asn't started yet\n\nPlease let me know in your comments below:\n\n Your
experience caving (if you haven't been caving before\, let us know what ot
her outdoorsy things you do (eg plastic or real rock fondling\, canyoning
etc)\n What cave / caving area in NSW would you like to visit besides Tim
 or?\n\n&nbsp\;
