SUMMARY:Bungonia Caving Trip
DESCRIPTION:This Saturday\, Alex and I (Maddi) will be heading down south t
 o Bungonia for some caving. We will be visiting B4-5 (Aka Fossil Cave and 
 Hogan’s Cave) via Devils Kitchen\, where we can practice abseiling/ascen
 ding and help clear out the sump.\n\n\n\nThis is a beginner friendly trip 
 that will involve abseiling\, scrambling\, squeezing\, crawling and ascend
 ing if you choose. Be prepared for small spaces\, darkness\, heights\, dus
 t and probably bats! There will be abseiling on this trip and it is prefer
 red you have some rope work experience.\n\nWe will be meeting up at Bungon
 ia National Park on Saturday Morning (approx 2 hours drive south). Bungoni
 a has one of the best campgrounds around\, with hot showers\, a kitchen an
 d proper toilets so feel free to come down and camp overnight. As seen abo
 ve\, the caves can get dirty so keep this in mind when deciding on your ge
 ar for the day.\n\nWhat YOU need to bring:\n\n 	Enclosed shoes\n 	Long sle
 eved clothes/long pants that you are comfortable getting dirty/will keep y
 ou warm for a full day in the cave\n 	Gloves\n 	Helmet* (available to be b
 orrowed from the club)\n 	Harness*\n 	Descender* (Figure 8/raprack etc.)\n
  	Prusik/biner*\n 	Sling/biner (safety)*\n 	Set of ascenders*\n 	Headtorch
 \n 	Spare batteries for headtorch or secondary torch\n 	Food/snacks for th
 e day\n 	At least 1L water\n 	Small bag to carry everything\n 	Personal me
 dications\n\n*Available from the gear cupboard\n\nAs there are hot showers
  available at the campground\, I would also suggest bringing a towel\, cha
 nge of clothes to fully experience the available amenities! and not comple
 tely wreck whoevers car you're in.\n\nPlease include in the comment your e
 xperience (outdoors background and whether you have any caving/abseiling/a
 scending experience)\, whether you have a car and how many people you can 
 take OR where you need a lift from\, and the best name for a new puppy (ju
