SUMMARY:[BP] SATURDAY Beginner - B4-5 (Fossil Cave and Hogans hole)
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\nSIGNUPS WILL OPEN UP AT 9PM MONDAY 15/07\n\n&nbsp\;
 \n\nSign up for ONE Saturday and ONE Sunday trip. If you do not get acc
 epted on your first choice trip then you may sign up for a different one. 
 (Same format as Boree Log!). You must be signed up to the main event to si
 gn up to individual trips\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nB4-5 (although we will probab
 ly run from B5 to B4) is a great beginner to almost intermediate cave for 
 those who yearn to feel what it's like to be a cave rat\, or perhaps an ex
 tra exploratory child. Filled with cool fossils\, optional squeezes and pl
 enty of adventure\, this mostly horizontal cave is a great time! Expect a 
 few climbs\, scrambling and some squeezes.\n\nIt'll begin with a squeeze d
 own a vertical hole into a larger chamber where we will clamber up into a 
 tunnel. from here it's a few turns to a rite of passage aptly named the ha
 iry traverse where you'll learn how up close and personal you can get with
  a lovely bit of chain. One of the few times in life you can shout "OFF TH
 E CHAIN" un-ironically. A few more ups\, downs and arounds leads us to Kin
 gs Cross which provides a variety of routes to run about and explore - see
  if you can spot the fossils!. Once we've had our fun and not gotten too l
 ost\, it'll be time for another crawl and three climbs protected by hand l
 ines to a metal ladder that will lead back to the surface.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
 \n\n\n\nWhat YOU need:\n\n 	Helmet*\n 	Headlight and spare batteries\n 	Sp
 are light source + spare batteries (a malfunction of primary light would b
 e quite inconvenient)\n 	Shoes you're not afraid to get muddy / dirty\n 	T
 hermal top &amp\; thermal bottoms\n 	Small bottle of water\n 	Personal med
 ications (epipen\, inhaler etc)\n 	Dry bag\n 	Snacks / small lunch\n 	Old 
 shirt / pants / overalls you can wear inside the cave\n 	Small backpack to
  carry your things\n 	Gloves (eg gardening gloves) - optional but highly r
 ecommended\n 	Soft knee pads - optional\n\n*These can be borrowed from the
  club on the morning of\n\n\n\nWhen signing up for this trip\, please make
  sure to include a) any previous caving or climbing / bouldering experienc
 e\, and b) what gear you will need to borrow and c) what your favourite s
 nack is!
