If you haven't been to one\, it is the biggest event the club puts on\; so get ready for camping\, climbing\, and all the outdoors jubilee you love.\n\nThis year's Boree log is held at Bonnie Doo n Campground in Bell (details at the bottom)\, the theme is Aliens and Ast ronauts! We are to be visited by\, or are the visitors of outer-space!!! T hus to join in on the fun bring your space suits or extra-terrestrial best for our Saturday dinner and there will be a best dressed prize!!! so make sure you bring your best! \;\n\n\n\nCost:\nThis time round there will be a cost for our campground which will be $15 ($5 if you are a new stude nt! details here). This means to secure a spot for the trip make sure you pay. Link here: [Payme nt] Boree Log – Term 3 2026 – UNSW Outdoors Club\n\n\n\nItinerary:\n\n Friday 16th of October\n\n Most people arrive on Friday evening - make su re you get there with enough light to set up your tent!\n We will be runn ing social activities from 5pm onwards including frisbee\, slackline\, and other games (feel free to bring your own)\n You will need to sort out yo ur own dinner for Friday night\, we suggest organising meals with friends to make things a bit easier\n\n \;\n\nSaturday 17th of October\n\n Ev eryone will split into smaller groups for trips! The trips leave early so it’s best to drive up Friday night\n In the arvo we will all return to the campground and everyone will get into their costumes for the evening a ctivities\n Over the course of the afternoon there will be various games and activities at the campground (feel free to bring a ball or something s imilar to throw around)\n We will provide all our Astronauts and Aliens w ith a delicious dinner cooked by our Head Chef Hammy (let us know your die tary requirements in the comments)\n Following dinner we will be awarding the prize for best dressed and carrying out the beloved club tradition Pu nch of Punishment where you can nominate your friends who have done someth ing silly or stupid on outdoor trips to drink from the Punch (doesn't have to be with the club) using This form \;\n\nSunday 18th of October\n\n Pack up and clean up the campground before splitting up again for more t rips\n Everyone will be heading straight back to Sydney from their trips so don’t leave anything at the campground\n\n\n\n\nTrip Schedule:\n\nAll trip info* will be posted on the website on Saturday 3rd of October.  \;Have a read through of the different trips and be ready to sign up by Mo nday the 5th of October at 7am. You may only choose one trip on each day t o sign up for.\n\n\n\nSigning Up:\n\nMake sure you check what time sign up s open for both the main event and individual trips! Spots are limited and in high demand so make sure you get in quick! It is first come first serv e\n\n Complete your Gendered Violence training ASAP.\n Main event sign u ps open Week 3 Monday (28 Sept) at 8am! Make sure you are logged into the website or you won’t be able to request a spot\n In your sign up reques t\, make sure to tell us if you have a car\, how many people you can take and where from\, and any dietary requirements \;\n WAIT FOR APPROVAL! Main event approvals will be finalised by Week 3 Friday (2 Oct).\n\n Onc e you have been approved to the main event\, request to sign up to ONE Sat urday trip and ONE Sunday trip only (If you apply to multiple you WILL be rejected).\nInformation on individual day trips will be released on Saturd ay the 3rd of October. Sign ups for these will open Monday the 5th of Octo ber at 7am! \;\n Individual Trip signups will be approved by Saturday the 10th of October.\n Organise car pooling via the shared Google sheet (to be linked once attendees are confirmed) – find someone driving from near you and message them to ask if they have a spot for you. Fill out the Google sheet once you have a spot and bring some cash on the day to reimb urse them for petrol\n Go shopping for the gear the club does not provide (more details on this below\, including tents\, sleeping bags\, mats\, dr inking water\, food\, head torches etc) \;\n Be ready for a great tim e!!\n\n\n\n\nWhat to Bring?\n\n Alien or Astronaut costume for Saturday n ight.\n Food and Water –There is NO drinking water at the campground so bring your own! Ensure you have a water container that can carry at least 2L for your day trips! It can get quite hot during the day. We will only be providing dinner on Saturday night\, you will need to provide your own food for all other meals. There is also no power so bring a camping cooker or food that doesn’t need to be cooked\n Tent – If you have your own tent\, please bring it. The club has a very limited number of tents that can be borrowed from the gear cupboard\, these are first come first served .\n Sleeping Bag and Sleeping Mat – These are a necessity as it will be chilly\, these are both available from the gear cupboard if you don't hav e your own but get in quick.\n Rain Coat - If it rains you will be soaked without it.\n WARM CLOTHES – We’re hoping for warm weather and clear skies\, please be prepared for cold nights and rain if need be!\n All Te chnical Equipment (e.g. harnesses\, rope\, helmets) will be provided by th e club at Boree Log for those who don’t have their own. You do not borro w this gear from the gear cupboard beforehand.\n If you are canyoning\, b ring your own wetsuit if you have one (though the club does have ones that can be borrowed)\, also bring thermals as it will be particularly cold in canyons!\n Check this packing list if you are unsure what else to bring. \n Personal items (e.g. toiletries\, face mask\, head torches\, rain jack ets\, day pack\, personal first aid kits\, SUNSCREEN\, cutlery\, plate/bow l\, water bottle\, alcohol for Saturday night if you want)\n If you’ve read all the info up to here\, grand.
