SUMMARY:Boree Log Saturday -Bowens Creek Canyon
DESCRIPTION:Lucy and Laura will be running a beginner canyoning trip to Bow
 en’s creek north canyon (south section).  Numbers are limited to 15 peo
 ple\, (10 until we get another car) no experience is necessary but a certa
 in degree of fitness is required the day will be around 8 hours of walking
  and rock scrambling.  There are a couple of abseils\, none more than 15m
  or so\, please try to get to one of the beginner abseiling afternoons if 
 you haven’t abseiled before.\n\nWe will be meeting at the campsite at 08
 00 to get gear  organised.  If you can drive your car to the canyon star
 t please let me know so I can open it up to more people.\n\nYou will need 
 to bring:\n\n-packed lunch\, water bottle and snacks (canyons are really c
 old so you will get hungrier than normal)\n\n-enclosed shoes that will get
  dirty/wet NO THONGS NO CROCS NO SANDALS (don’t laugh it happens)\n\n-we
 tsuit\, if not bring thermals -or hit up an op shop they usually have them
  REALLY cheap and if you don't continue canyoning you could probably sell 
 it to someone in the club for the same price :-)\n\n-dry clothes for walki
 ng in/out\n\n-thick warm socks\n\n-beanie or something to keep your head w
 arm\n\n-daypack –that can get wet\n\n-headtorch or torch\n\n-a dry bag o
 r garbage bag for waterproofing your lunch and worm clothes etc\n\n&nbsp\;
 \n\nIf you have them please also bring:  (other wise the club has some)\n
 \n-helmet (bike helmet is fine)\n\n-harness\n\n-safety sling\n\n-caribiner
 s x2\n\n-abseiling device (ATC\, rap rack etc)
