DESCRIPTION:Ollie and I (Gabi) are running an abseiling trip at Boars Head

 ng abseil trip that goes down a series of gullies and ledges below the roc
 k\n 	Heights - there is some exposure so being comfortable with heights is
  a must\n 	Beautiful Blue Mountains views\n 	A full day out\, we should be
  back at the cars by 4pm\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSigning up:\n\n 	Comment with your 
 abseiling experience (or comment what other outdoor activities you have do
 ne). We'll aim to have a group with a mix of experience.\n 	Whether you ca
 n drive there\, how many spots in your car and where you'd be leaving from
 \n 	OR\, if you're happy to take the train there. The bus is every 10 min
 utes from Katoomba station.\n 	Favourite outdoors snack (preferably also b
 ring it!)\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nTiming:\n\nWe will meet at the Boars Head Lookout 
 Carpark at 9am Saturday. We'll do a gear check before setting off (if you 
 arrive missing any of the safety equipment you will be sent home or have t
 o wait at the cars...). Parking at the lookout is metered\, so to save a b
 uck park in the surrounding streets and walk to the meeting spot.\n\n&nbsp
 \;\n\nWhat you need:\n\n 	Wear warm clothes as it is winter. Long pants an
 d shirt plus a jumper\, beanie\, warm socks\n 	Closed shoes (e.g. sneakers
  or hiking shoes)\n 	Harness*\n 	Helmet*\n 	Safety sling + biner*\n 	Figur
 e 8 device (or descender) + biner*\n 	Gloves (optional but leather/ synthe
 tic work gloves are ideal for protecting your hands from the friction of t
 he rope)\n 	Emergency blanket (Mandatory) - you can purchase from the gear
  cupboard\n 	Backpack\n 	Headtorch\n 	Rain jacket (it can be very windy in
  some of the slots\, this is a great windbreaker)\n 	Lunch and snacks!\n 	
 At least 1L of water\n 	Personal medication\n\n*you can borrow this from t
 he club on gear night (check the fb page\, most likely Thursday night).\n\
