DESCRIPTION:Intermediate difficulty trip suitable for people with a sense o
 f adventure. You must be attending and approved for the Boree Log main eve
 nt to sign up for this trip.\n\nBack in the day when Newnes was a thriving
  mining town\, they used to fell trees on the plateau and transport the lo
 gs down a canyon. Well\, that’s the story I’ve been told. Join me and 
 visit this hidden treasure\, which is nowadays known by only a few lucky p
 eople!\n\n\n\nWe’ll start the hike from the Newnes campground on Sunday 
 morning\, once everyone has recovered sufficiently from their hangovers. T
 he trip is about 5.8 km return (about 4.4 km along tracks and 1.4 km of bu
 sh bashing) and will take around 5 hours. To find out what you’re in for
 \, check out this blog post (written by someone else). For those intereste
 d\, this is a good opportunity to practice your navigation skills. If you 
 want to avoid having your legs covered in scratches and bruises\, then thi
 s trip probably isn't the best for you.\n\nWhat to expect:\n\n 	bush bashi

 bseils\n 	cool canyon\n 	aussie wildlife (snakes\, spiders and drop bears)
