SUMMARY:BL Saturday – SPOTS LEFT Firefly* Canyon (trip 2)
DESCRIPTION:Intermediate difficulty trip suitable for people with some cany
 oning experience. You must be attending and approved for the Boree Log mai
 n event to sign up for this trip.\n\nJoin me on a trip through Firefly* Ca
 nyon! We’ll start walking from Newnes campground on Saturday\, nice and 
 early at 7:30 am. To find out what you’re in for\, check out this video\
 , the online track notes or the map. For those interested\, this is a good
  opportunity to practice navigation skills. If we go well for time and if 
 people are feeling fit\, we can also visit Looking Glass Canyon afterwards
 .\n*Fireflies not guaranteed.\n\nFor this trip\, you’ll need to: know ho
 w to abseil\, be a good swimmer\, have a moderate level of fitness\, and h
 ave a sense of humour.\n\nWhat to expect:\n\n 	bush bashing\n 	rock scramb
 ling/climbing\n 	fun abseils (up to 10m or 15m)\n 	swims\n 	aussie wildlif
 e (snakes\, drop bears\, stinging nettle)\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIn the comments se
 ction\, let me know:\n\n 	which is your favourite canyon (out of the ones 
 you've done so far)\n 	which canyon is next on your tick list (after Boree
  Log)\,\n 	what gear you need (this is important)\, and\n 	how you are get
 ting here (camping on Friday night / driving up Saturday morning)\n\n&nbsp
 \;\n\nWhat you need to bring:\n\n 	clothes for the walk in/out (expect war
 m weather)\n 	thermals and wool socks\n 	strong backpack\n 	lunch and snac
 ks (load up on carbs)\n 	water (2L minimum\, 3L recommended)\n 	dry bag\n 
 	proper shoes with good grip (e.g. volleys\, runners\, hiking shoes)\n 	he
 adtorch\n 	emergency blanket / bivvy bag\n 	If you’re missing any of the
  above items you’ll need to drive to the nearest shops (Lithgow) and buy
  them before joining us. Or get a punch of punishment in the mouth per mis
 sing item. Your choice!\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nBring the following things if you ha
 ve them\, otherwise you can borrow them from the club:\n\n 	wetsuit\n 	hel
