SUMMARY:Beginners Canyoning 
DESCRIPTION:Beginners Canyoning!  Stefan and I are leading a canyoning tri
 p in the Blue Mountains next Sunday. We are heading up to Newnes to do one
  of the Pipeline/Firefly/Starlight canyons so come join us (these are semi
 -dry). Currently the plan is to head up Saturday and stay at the Newnes ca
 mpground\, which is an amazing spot\, so we can get an early start on Sund
 ay.\nThere are 6 spots open to beginners for this trip but it is highly re
 commend you have some rope skills (climbing/belaying\, abseiling) and a de
 cent level of fitness.\n\n\nGear you will need.\n\n\n	Harness\n	Helmet\n	B
 elay Plate/Descender\n	2 x Carabiners\n	Safety Sling\n	(The above can be b
 orrowed from Gears)\n	Wetsuit (also can be borrowed from the club\, altern
 atively ask around if anyone is willing to lend you theirs)\n	Head Torch\n
 	Woollen or Synthetic Socks (spare pair is good too\, no cotton!)\n	Therma
 ls (bottoms really are a must\, there might be some wades)\n	Canyon worthy
  shoes (Volleys are a club favourite)\n	A backpack that can get wet or sub
 merged in water\n	A dry bag if you have one (these can usually be shared)\
 n	Food (lunch) &amp\; Water for the day (snacks as well\, also any extra t
 hat you feel you can carry)\n	Petrol money for those lovely people that ge
 t us there and back\n	Some spare clothes to leave in the car\n\nIf you are
  camping with us you'll also need to organise your own gear as well. Inclu
 ding a tent\, sleeping bag/mat/pillow\, breakfast\, water and anything els
