SUMMARY:Beginner Hike - Berowra to Mt Kuring-Gai
DESCRIPTION:Howdy folks\,\n\nSo we decided to combine the two weekend hikes
 \, in part due to the high probability of heavy rain.\n\nFrom Garrett's tr
 ip post\n\n"\n\nThe Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park is a great place for a
  hike. We will walk from Berowra station to Cowan Creek and then along the
  creek until making our way up to Mt Ku-ring-gai station. About 10 km in a
 ll with 600 m of elevation gain (5-6 hours).\n\nDetails!\n\nMeeting time/p
 lace: I will be leaving on the 7:45 am train from Central (Platform 8) to 
 get to Berowra station at 8:31. I am taking the train back home from Mt Ku
 -ring-gai station.\n\nGear to bring:\n\nBackpack: To carry all the stuff o
 utlined below\n\nRain Jacket!: It’s going to be rainy most of the day.\n
 Comfortable hiking shoes: Nothing fancy. Just something that can get wet/d
 irty\, won’t give you blisters\, and wont fall apart\nHiking clothes: Lo
 ng pants and long sleeves are recommended to protect from the bush.\nAddit
 ional clothes: Spare warm clothes so you don’t get cold\nLunch and snack
 s: You know\, Food! (Chocolate\, nuts\, sandwiches\, fruit\, whatever you 
 like…)\n2 L Water: Yes\, bring at least 2 L. There is not likely any wat
 er on our route\nHat/sunblock: Australia gives you cancer\nHeadlamp/torch:
  Shouldn’t need it\, but carry one anyway\nYour strong legs: 10 km hike
