SUMMARY:Beginner Canyon - Lower Bowens Creek North
DESCRIPTION:Behold canyoning season is upon us!\n\nBrendan and I (Vicky) ar
 e running a beginners canyon to Lower Bowen’s Creek North. It’s a shor
 t\, fun\, really pretty canyon with a couple of abseils and small jumps al
 ong the way. Experience in abseiling is not necessary\, but preferred.\n\
 nThere are 6 spots available on a first-come-first-serve basis unless we c
 an’t find someone with a car.\n\nGEAR - everyone is responsible for gett
 ing their own gear which they can get from the gear cupboard on Wednesday 
 night. You will need:\n\n	Wetsuit\n	Helmet\n	Harness\n	ATC and locking bin
 er\n	Safety sling and locking biner\n	Woolen socks and closed shoes that d
 rain well (volleys are recommended\, otherwise any shoes with good drainag
 e and grip will do the trick. Bowens is pretty slippery!)\n	Drybag (if you
  don't have one\, they're pretty cheap from any outdoors store or borrow f
 rom a friend)\n	Lunch and at least 1.5L of water\n	A backpack you don't mi
 nd getting wet and throwing around\n	Towel and dry clothes for the trip ho
 me\n	(Optional) thermals to wear underneath your wetsuit. The water in  B
 owens was icy when we went two weeks ago so thermals are recommended\n	Fue
 l money for your friendly driver\n\nWe'll create a FB thread once numbers 
 are confirmed.\n\nCheers :)
