DESCRIPTION:Hey everyone!\n\nJason\, Sudarshan and I (Cornellius) will be r
 unning a beginner's canyoning trip to Bowens Creek North (Lower)\, a.k.a. 
 Gobsmacker.\n\n\n\n(That feeling when you've been voluntold to bottom bela
 y)\n\nWe'll bushwalk down to the canyon to swim\, abseil\, walk\, crawl\, 
 and scramble our way through some very cold water in our wetsuits before h
 eading back to our cars\, totalling 8 hours of fun!\n\nPlease ensure you b
 ring ALL the gear listed below:\n\nGear available to borrow from the Gear
  Cupboard:\n\n 	Canyoning harness\n 	Helmet\n 	2x Locking carabiners\n 	1x
  Figure 8 descender\n 	1x Safety sling\n 	Drybag \n 	Canyoning pack (subj
 ect to availability)\n 	Wetsuit (check that it fits!!)\n 	Emergency blanke
 t – (can buy from Gear Cupboard for $5 or from chemists\, shops\, etc)\
 n\nOther gear you MUST bring:\n\n 	(If you can't borrow a canyoning pack)
  Backpack that can fit ALL your gear and that can get wet (30L+)\n 	Clothi
 ng:\n\n 	Enclosed shoes with good grip\, suitable for water and bushwalki
 ng\n 	Wool or neoprene socks\n 	Boardshorts to wear on top of wetsuit (c
 ompulsory to protect the club wetsuits)\n 	Thermals and raincoat\n 	Swimme
 rs for under wetsuit\n 	NO COTTON! (this includes socks\, shirts\, pants\
 , etc)\n\n\n 	Food:\n\n 	2L of water\n 	Lunch\n 	Snacks to share!\n\n\n 	O
 ther:\n\n 	Medication (asthma puffer\, Epipen etc)\n 	Headtorch + spare b
