DESCRIPTION:NPWS is running another volunteer bushcare day for Barrenjoey H
 eadland in Ku-rin-gai National Park. This is specifically being run for cl
 imbers - come and help take care of this special spot\, help access\, and 
 show that climbers do care about the crags we enjoy.\n\nThe headland is cu
 rrently recovering from a fire that burned through last year.\n\nWe'll spe
 nd the morning doing a few jobs around the cliff\, including erecting some
  signs for the new tracks\, move some stones around to protect the aborigi
 nal midden\, and do bushcare and weeding around the crag to remove baby as
 paragus\, lantana and other nasties before they get big again.\n\nStu Dobb
 ie will also be looking for volunteers to circumnavigate the headland (abo
 ut 2 hours of rock scrambling) to photograph and GPS map the bitou bush re
 generation on the sea side. The group will take some loppers and poison an
 d kill any easy-to-get-to weeds along the way. And try not to get too side
 -tracked oogling all the delicate rock architecture along the way.\n\nAfte
 r lunch there'll be time to go climbing! There may also be afternoon swimm
 ing involved.\n\nFree parking passes will be organised for drivers. We nee
 d to keep track of numbers so I will be in touch with Stu and Rachel as we
  get closer.\n\nSam\n\n
