DESCRIPTION:I'd like to start running regular technical workshops this seme
 ster\, especially getting into some self rescue stuff and guiding-style te
 chniques for trip leaders.\n\nLet's try for next wednesday to start. This 
 is aimed at people with previous experience (two star canyoners and climbe
 rs) who want to become more confident as trip leaders and on their own tri
 ps.\n\nTo start we'll go over single rope techniques for canyoning - the s
 tone knot and reepschnur method - and if we have time I'd like people to t
 ry tandem rappelling with an "injured" partner.\n\nBring a headlamp - If i
 t's dark cold and raining\, so much the better for realism!\n\nSam
