SUMMARY:2023 First Aid Simulation Day
DESCRIPTION:\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThis is the 2nd attempt after it was postponed l
 ate last year.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nDone your Remote Area or Wilderness First Aid
  (or similar) and want to do some scenarios to have fun and refresh your s
 kills? Well I have an opportunity for you!\n\nIn a month (17th June) Katie
  and I (Oliver) will be running a First Aid Simulation Day/Evening for clu
 b members and trip leaders. The plan is to do ahead regardless of weather 
 as we run trips in all weather.\n\nThe aim it to share\, retain and regain
  First Aid and Situational Management skills particularly leveraging off t
 he fresh skills of the RAFA students doing the training in a few weeks and
  the WFA students from March. So we will try and do loads of different sim
 ulations using gear we would usually take on trips\, the more realistic th
 e better for this. To that end\, bring along your First Aid Kits (We won't
  use them but its good to know what's there) and other gear you would take
  on your primary sport (Rope\, Pack\, Hiking Poles\, etc). That way we wil
 l have stuff for all sports and can do realistic responses. Please respond

 n\n 	Bring OLD first aid supplies from home that might be out of date or g
 oing a bit bad so bolster our supply for the simulations.\n\n\n 	Bring Clo
 thing that can get wrecked and dirty\, we will use tomato sauce (or someth
 ing else that's suggested before the day as fake blood).\n 	Food and Water
  for you. Further details to be provided closer to the time.\n\nWe dont wa
 nt to come up with all the simulations and to be honest dont know what all
  the gory ways people have been messed up in all the sports\, as such Plea

 ofile (You should fix this) or is not a common one\, mention it in the com
 ments.\n\nWe am very open to suggestions and haven't done this before so p
 lease reach out to me if you have any ideas. I am particularly interested 
 for help from you if you have relevant actual training (REGARDLESS of firs
 t aid training or club membership status)\, I.E. Med student/Doctor/Nurse\
 , First Responder\, Defence\, Guide etc for help\, your knowledge and expe
 rience in the lead up and on the day.
