DESCRIPTION:Daniel\, Bennet and I (Margot) will be running a trip on Saturd
 ay for Boree Log to do Upper Bowens South Canyon.\n\nThe canyon itself is 
 a beauty\, but also moderately long\, so this might be a long day – perh
 aps 8-10hrs in the canyon. Therefore\, this is an intermediate trip\, and 
 you should have some canyoning\, abseiling or at least outdoor climbing ro
 pe experience if you are going to sign up.  If you don't have this experi

 u will need:\n\n 	To be keen and ready for a longish day\n 	A headtorch\
 n 	A dry bag*\n 	A backpack to fit all your gear and can get wet*\n 	Wetsu
 it (preferably 5mm)*\n 	Rain jacket\n 	Thermals\n 	Wool socks\n 	Shoes wit
 h grip\n 	Helmet*\n 	Harness*\n 	Descender (preferably an 8 style)*\n 	Per
 sonal safety*\n 	Locking Carabiner*\n 	An emergency blanket (can be bough
 t from the gear cupboard – $5)\n 	Food and water\n\n*Can be borrowed fro
 m the club supplies but if you have your own bring it as supplies may be l
 imited\n\nYou need to be approved for the main Boree Log event to attend t
 hese trips. Please sign up for only ONE trip per day. If you get rejected 
 you can then sign up for another trip\, this just makes it easier for volu
 nteer trip leaders. Please be aware that as the weather is unpredictable\,
  trip leaders may need to alter trips accordingly\n\nPlease include in the
  comments what you have car wise\, why you're keen for this trip\, and you

  me know what is the maximum depth of water you would be willing to fight 
 a shark in (since if its shallow enough the shark would just suffocate).\n
