DESCRIPTION:Hi all\,\n\nI will be running a General Ropework Workshop on th
 e 6th of March (Thursday)\, starting at 4.30pm at THE LEDGE.\n\nThe worksh
 op is open to anyone who'd like to improve their learning/ knowledge of ro
 pes and is the first step to the trip leader pathway in the respective can
 yoning/caving/climbing specializations.\n\nLearning items will consist of 
 items within this booklet (General Rope Sports Manual – UNSW Outdoors Cl
 ub)\n\n● General knots such as figure eights\, hitches\, stoppers\, alpi
 ne butterfly\, etc.\n● Rope management/ coiling and storage of ropes (ph
 oto example below)\n● Equipment care\, visual and tactile assessment/ in
 spection of PPE\n● Outdoors safety\, communication techniques\, general 
 risk assessment and what to be aware on during trips.\n\nIf we have time\,
  I'll also bring 2 ropes access kits to demonstrate some ascending/ descen
 ding.\n\n\n\n&nbsp\;
