Hey Guys
Just a reminder - Boree log is this weekend! The weather is looking pretty good as well so we are all systems go!
Just a few reminders:
- for those of you who haven't signed up for the trip on the club website, please do so we we can work out the catering and for insurance purposes
- check the event page/facebook page for what to bring
- bring a toga, and your drink of choice for the party on Saturday night
If you are driving, can you please post up on the club's facebook page if you have spare seats - more people in your car means not having to pay for petrol. And for those who need lifts, bring petrol money for your driver.
Finally, if it looks like there won't be enough people driving up, I will work out which train people can catch, and we can send out some cars to pick people up.
See you all there!
Luke
Hey Guys!
As you know, it's that time of the year where we need to renew our memberships for the new year. We have the stall at O-week this week, and of course you can sign up at the ledge on Thursday nights.
We've also negotiated a few more membership benefits this year. Continuing on from last year, we have the 15% discount from climbing anchors, as we all 10% from Mountain Equipment, 25% from Macpac and 10% from X-chalk, a new company dealing in specialized chalk. We also are continuing the $3 climbing on Thursday nights at the ledge.
We also have the BBQ in week 2, as well as Boree Log, on the weekend of the 24-25th of MArch.
Hope to see you all soon!
Cheers
Luke
We are having a FREE BBQ to celebrate the start of the 2012 university year and to welcome our newest club members!
Come to meet all the other new and old members, have a snag and a few beers and find out how the club works. We'll have a brief blurb on our upcoming traditional Boree Log club camp on March 23-25 (end of Week 4). There will also be a photo presentation on recent club trips.
We'll also have the sign up kit for new members wishing to join, if you haven't already done so.
The BBQ starts at 5 pm, Tuesday 6th March (week 2), upstairs in the Sam Cracknell Pavilion, next to the Village Green. Food will be free and drinks will be $1. If you’re keen, there will be slacklining an hour or so beforehand at the opposite end of the oval.
See you then!
Simon
